Who we are
At When We Forget podcast https://www.whentheyforget.com/, the privacy of our visitors is extremely important. This Privacy Policy outlines the types of personal information that is received and collected and how it is used.
This Privacy Policy is reviewed and revised from time to time. You will want to revisit it regularly. Your use of this site, in any and all forms, constitutes an acceptance of this Privacy Policy.
1. Log Files
We use log files like many other websites. The information in the log files include:
- Internet Protocol addresses (IP)
- Types of browser
- Internet Service Provider (ISP)
- Date and time stamp
- Referring and exit pages
- Number of clicks
All of this information is not linked to anything that is personally identifiable.
2. Cookies
We use cookies to store information about visitor preferences and to record user-specific information on visits and pages the user views so as to provide a custom experience. In regard to third-party advertisers, I have no access or control over these cookies. You should review the respective privacy policies on any and all third-party ad servers for more information regarding their practices and how to opt-out.
If you wish to disable cookies you may do so through your web browser options. Instructions for doing so and for other cookie-related management can be found on the specific web browsers’ websites.
DoubleClick DART Cookie
Google, a third party vendor, uses the DART cookie to serve ads on this site. Users may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting Google’s Content Network Privacy Policy.
3. Disclosure Statement
This site abides by word of mouth marketing standards. We believe in honesty of relationship, opinion, and identity. The compensation received may influence the advertising content, topics or posts made in this blog. That content, advertising space or post will be clearly identified as paid or sponsored content.
The owner of this site may be compensated to provide opinion on products, services, websites and various other topics. So far that hasn’t happened yet, but we’re open to it. If we were to be compensated for posts or paid advertisements, we would always give my honest opinions, findings, beliefs, or experiences on those topics or products. The views and opinions expressed on this site are purely our own.
4. Third-party APIs/Connections
Our plugins may send requests to third-party APIs via website-visitors web browser to fetch information (like social shares, social comment count). This request made by the web browser may include IP address, which can then be seen by the third-party that it’s being requested from. This API request doesn’t include any personal data of the website user other than the IP address.
5. Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
6. Other
Users who send emails via the contact form may provide a name and email address to receive communication from When They Forget podcast. We do not save your information, nor give it to any third party.
If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
If you require any more information or have any questions about our privacy policy, please feel free to contact me here.
